I can't tell how much do I love fashion shows, I can run the whole night busy with models, swim in the mess of clothes, still I never get bored. I have just cleaned up my laptop and deleted some files from years ago, so I have a chance to look at all my pictures now and then. So I decided to share with you guys some of the images from fashion shows that I took part in since I moved to Singapore to study 3 years ago. Been quite a long time, but good memories never fade away.
La Soiree Blanche
The first fashion show I took part in was the real project for Fashion Coordination & Promotion class. The show was called "La Soiree Blanche", that's French, in English it is called "The White Party", which means everyone who join the show, includes crew like me have to dress all in white. The designer of the show was the local fashion designer Jen Su, from Spunk Punk Funk. It was a group work and it was a big show, we got Singapore's artists and celebrities coming on board, we had Zirca club for the venue, which is kind of the most famous night club in Singapore, we planned the venue for more than 500 guests which is huge because even the real life's big fashion show would only sit about 300 to 400 guests. We have 2 months to prepare for everything and it was kinda rush. And we did it, it was a marvellous night, a very successful fashion show. I can't wait to share these images with you guys.
The second fashion show in my life was during my internship at Steve Madden, a young, trendy, cutting-edge New York footwear brand. This time everything was even rusher for me as there were only the marketing executive and 6 people included me to prepare everything for the day. The show was at Zouk Club. This time it was no longer an university's project, it was a real life's project. That day was raining, very heavy, still we got about 400 guests coming to the show. All I can say is fun, fun and fun, I love it except the story after the show. As I said it was raining very heavy, and I couldn't find myself a taxi to go home, there was no bus from Zouk to my house so I walked home in the rain, for nearly 1 hour. It sucks. These images have low resolutions because we were too busy, we only took photos using our iPhone.
Steve Madden Spring/Summer 2013
So this was my second fashion show during my 1 year internship at Steve Madden, and was the third fashion show in my life I got my hands on. Still, I was so so excited, as always. This time the show wasn't at a club, it was right in-store, an in-store fashion show event. This time was the busiest as my company invited many media guests, so everything must be perfectly perfect. There was about 150 people coming in at once, can you imagine that? My catwalk models this time were so cute, very friendly and creative. It was another very successful show and what I love the most was the buffet with tons of desserts after the show.
